Artist's Comments

On the left is Newton from Ned's Newt and the right is the Genie from Aladdin.

For those of you outside Canada U.K., or Germany, Newton is a newt on steroids who is big, blue and hilarious. Obviously a direct copy of the Genie from Aladdin. But that's no reason to dislike the show, now is it? They're both big and blue. They can both transform into anything at any time if it's convenient for the joke. They're both voiced by a comedian named Williams, Newton by Harland Williams and the Genie by Robin Williams.

I don't quite know what's happening in this picture. I guess Newton is delivering a pizza and the Genie is coming out to greet him while that menacing looking barn next door keeps a close eye on him.

I'd always wondered what would happen if those two met. Wait a sec, Newton was Harlan Williams? Oh yeah! I realize it now.

Actually, Ithink that if they met, it would be kind of chaotic and not funny. They'd both be fighting to steal the show.

And Ned and Aladdin would just be there, staring, like, "can't you guys just act normal for two seconds?"

And Genie would turn into a UFO and zip off into space to get away, and you'd see it fly around Earth from space, but then the "earth" would turn around and have Newton's eyes on it...:no: I just got carried away again :laughign:

Oh I forgot to add: I like how the style is similar to the Spacejam movie where the humans, backround, and setting is in live action while the most excentric characters are literally animated.

That's one menacing looking house over there. LOL
